The Sants Festa Major will begin on August 22nd and run until August 30th, featuring a program with over 300 activities and 11 decorated streets.

The Sants neighborhood in Barcelona is celebrating its traditional Festa Major from August 22nd to August 30th. The event will feature a joint program developed by the Federation of Associations and Street Commissions, the Castellers de Sants, and the Sants-Montjuïc District.
This year, the opening speech, scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, at eight in the evening at the Espanya Industrial park, will be delivered by the renowned actress, screenwriter, and film director Leticia Dolera.
Once again, the neighborhood's streets will be transformed into spaces of creativity, participation, and sustainability. A total of 11 streets will be decorated and will offer their own festive programs: Alcolea de Baix, Alcolea de Dalt, Finlàndia, Galileu, Guadiana, Papin, Plaça de la Farga, Sagunt, Valladolid, Vallespir de Baix, and Vallespir de Dalt.
To ensure the smooth running of the festival, additional measures have been implemented. Shops permitted to sell alcohol within the main event areas will close between 10 PM and 7 AM. Furthermore, the cleaning service will be reinforced daily with sweeping, watering, emptying of bins, and general area maintenance.
Safety and support for attendees will be prioritized, with the presence of Punts Lila (Purple Points) to prevent sexist aggressions and support points at the commissions' bars to assist and advise attendees.
