The current temple of Sant Antoni de Valls is the result of a later expansion that culminated in 1768, when the bell tower and the façade were added. Nevertheless, the parish and the Campaners de Valls (Bell Ringers of Valls) have promoted the 300th-anniversary celebration since the original blessing.

The events, presented on Saturday, January 10, during the Tres Tombs festival, include a cycle of talks about the role of the Antonians in the city and the Sant Antoni festivities. Visits to the bell towers of Sant Antoni and Sant Joan will also be organized, in addition to choral concerts.
In parallel, the Campaners de Valls face the challenge of maintaining the bell tower and bells in optimal condition. Part of the funds raised from last year's pig raffle is being allocated to conservation and maintenance tasks, including the lighting system.
Ferran Amill, designer of the tricentennial's graphic image, details that all three bells have defects. The smallest one is cracked and should be replaced, while the largest, named Antònia (from 1944), requires a new clapper. The long-term objective is to intervene as resources become available.
