The Barcelona Half Marathon 2027 has reached a record sales figure by selling 30,000 bibs in less than 24 hours, representing 75% of the total 40,000 available spots.

The sporting event, which has expanded its capacity for the 2027 edition, has shown great appeal among runners. This figure of 40,000 bibs represents an increase compared to the 36,000 offered in 2026 and the 32,000 in 2025.
The race management highlighted the speed at which registrations were acquired, noting that 10,000 participants had already signed up in the first hour, reaching 20,000 by 2:00 PM. Currently, 10,000 bibs remain available to complete the total capacity.

"We do not want to die of success; whenever we increase the number of bibs, we do so in moderate amounts. We want runners to experience the race in the best possible conditions."

The event organizers emphasized that while the goal is to continue growing, the priority is to maintain the quality of the experience for the athletes. Although a few years ago a figure of 40,000 registrants seemed like a very complicated challenge, the organization remains optimistic and capable of managing this number of participants with guarantees.
