Nàstic's reserve team, La Pobla de Mafumet, launches its 2026-27 season project this Wednesday. The team begins preparations for its return to Tercera RFEF with the first training session under the guidance of Xavi Vilagut. The main objective is to achieve consolidation in the league after last season's promotion from Liga Elit.
The sporting direction, led by Albert Virgili, has worked during the initial summer weeks to assemble a squad that blends continuity with promising young talent. The aim is to maintain the competitive identity that led to promotion and elevate the team's level with the addition of players from professional club academies and those with experience in national categories.
Regarding continuity, the renewals of captain Albert Querol, Manuel Pavón, Teo Pozo, Roger Ciuró, Xavi Samper, and goalkeeper Nahuel Pérez stand out. Additionally, central defender Roger Anglès, known as ‘Ruxi’, and defender Iker Adell, are promoted from Nàstic's Juvenil A to make the leap to senior football.
La Pobla de Mafumet also welcomes seven new signings. The defense is reinforced by right-back Carles Sogorb, trained at Mallorca and with experience in Segunda RFEF, and central defender Rubén Martínez, from the Valencia Academy. The midfield welcomes pivot Enoch Akuffo, who arrives from Atlético Torrellano after competing in Tercera RFEF.
In attack, young players with growth potential have been brought in. Wingers José Lledó from UD Almería's División de Honor Juvenil and Joan Martínez, a free agent after terminating his contract with Girona B, arrive. The forward line also sees two new faces: Joel Sánchez, from Roda, and Xabi Luaces, from Amorebieta, who has experience in Segunda RFEF.
With this first training session, a pre-season begins where Xavi Vilagut will work to integrate all the pieces of a renewed project. La Pobla faces an exciting season with the challenge of consolidating in Tercera RFEF and continuing to serve as a bridge between Nàstic's youth football and the first team.
