The Online Reputation Index (iRON), part of the study 'La Rambla: culture, coexistence, and environmental quality' conducted by Amics de la Rambla in collaboration with GetYourGuide, has awarded this score to the renowned Barcelona boulevard.
Tourist activities along the promenade received an average score of 9.01, tourist attractions 8.86, dining 8.34, and accommodation 8.33, as announced by the association on Monday.
Ángel Díaz, vice-president of Amics de la Rambla, stated that this analysis will help the entity better understand the boulevard's reality to enhance visitor satisfaction and preserve its cultural value.
Toni Bennassar, regional manager for GetYourGuide in Spain and Portugal, noted that the quality of the visitor experience is crucial, as more standardized options receive lower ratings.
Both the company and the association agree on the need to promote activities that reflect La Rambla's cultural centrality and to elevate the standard of offerings in collaboration with operators.
Regarding commerce and gastronomy, the report highlights the strong appeal of the Boqueria Market and its surrounding culinary scene, while also identifying "sustained tensions between variety, authenticity, and touristification".
Beyond quality, analyzed opinions point to safety as an area for improvement, with frequent mentions of pickpocketing, a sense of insecurity in certain sections and during peak times, as well as overcrowding and ongoing construction work.
Comments were also registered concerning the state of public spaces, such as dirtiness, bad odors, and occasional cleaning deficits, along with the temporary effects of the renovation. However, these issues do not detract from the overall positive assessment but rather indicate "priority areas for attention".
