Housing access is consolidated as the main problem for Barcelona's citizens, according to the municipal barometer published today by the City Council. Insecurity remains the second most serious issue.

Thirty-one percent of Barcelona residents consider housing to be the most serious problem facing the city. Insecurity ranks second, with 26.3% of respondents. The gap between these two concerns has narrowed to 4.7 points, down from 7.6 points in the previous barometer from December 2025.
The survey also reveals broad consensus on the management of tourist apartments: nearly three out of every four citizens would agree to revoke their licenses.
In general terms, the barometer reflects approval of the municipal management by almost 62% of those surveyed. This study was conducted through telephone surveys of 800 people, carried out between May 26 and June 3, 2026.
