The event took place at the corner of Girona street and Consell de Cent, in front of the portal where the libertarian activist's arrest occurred. The erected plaque aims to preserve the memory of the events and promote the city's democratic memory.
During the commemoration, Montse Puig Antich, Salvador's sister, spoke alongside actors Helena Moliné and Marc Pujol. They recounted the police ambush that led to Puig Antich's arrest and his accusation in the death of an officer.

Also present at the tribute were the president of the district's municipal council, Joan Rodríguez, and the district councilor, Jordi Valls.
