The Barcelona City Council is hosting the exhibition Oral and Graphic Memory of the Les Corts District at the local headquarters until March 20, featuring the legacy of eight residents.

The project began over a year ago with a community call to find individuals willing to share their memories. The goal is to preserve the everyday history of the neighborhoods before 1999, turning ephemeral oral traditions into a permanent visual record.

"These are experiences deposited in the memory of each of us, which will be lost when we are no longer here."

Manuel Becerra · Culture Councilor of Les Corts
Eight participants, including local shopkeepers and entity members like Rafel Niubó, president of the Associació Esportiva les Corts, contributed personal photographs and interviews. The exhibition highlights the social and urban evolution of the area.

"Our parents were born in the neighborhood, lived in the neighborhood, worked in the neighborhood, and are buried in the neighborhood."

Crusells brothers · Participating residents
Residents such as Anna Ramon and Montserrat Carbonell emphasized the importance of passing this knowledge to younger generations. The collection serves as both a historical archive and a tribute to the families who built the identity of les Corts.
