Luis Gallego will be responsible for leading CF Muntanyesa during the 2026-2027 season, a special campaign marked by the club's centenary. Gallego, with an extensive career in Barcelona, returns to Nou Barris after seven seasons coaching EE Guineueta (2016-2024).
In statements to 'btvesports', Gallego described the 'Monta' project as "exciting" and admitted he couldn't turn down the offer. He expressed satisfaction in joining a "humble club, but also one with a large social base".

The main objective for the upcoming season, once the squad is complete, will be to achieve "survival, to save the category for another year, as we did in recent years, to try not to suffer". However, Gallego does not rule out higher aspirations: "I am an ambitious person, I am a winning person. Hopefully, if we can look upwards at some point, we will, but we must be aware of where we are".
The new coach emphasized his pride in returning to Nou Barris, his "adopted neighborhood", and highlighted the club members' involvement. "With football people who know what they are doing, there are many people who work hard for the club, who get involved; I come with great enthusiasm and eagerness. It is a great honor to represent this club, and we will do everything to make it work, to succeed, to win matches, and for people to be proud of the team", he concluded.
