Planadeu, recently promoted to Second Catalan League, begins its participation in the 2026-27 Catalunya Cup this Sunday, visiting Pueblo Nuevo 2002.

Although the final of the 2025-26 Catalunya Cup between Barça Atlètic and Sabadell takes place this Wednesday, the schedule moves forward and kicks off the 2026-27 men's competition this weekend. Planadeu, champions of their Third Catalan group last season, will make their debut on Sunday at 6:15 PM.
The team from the northern area of Sabadell, now in the Second Catalan League, will debut under the guidance of their new coach, Sergio Arana. So far, the squad has only played one preseason match, a 0-2 victory against Bufalà from Badalona.

"The feelings are positive. We are in the second week of preseason and the lads are training well, with willingness and a good atmosphere. It's the reward for last year's championship and we have to enjoy it. We approach it with maximum enthusiasm because it's a nice competition and we want to move forward. It comes early, but so does for the opponent."

Planadeu's opponent will be Pueblo Nuevo 2002, a team that has also been promoted from Fourth to Third Catalan League and will play at home at the Municipal de Poble Nou, in Terrassa.
