The Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Urbana arrested a man carrying a large knife this afternoon on Muntaner Street in Barcelona, near the General Mitre ring road.

The police operation began after the individual, aged between 30 and 40, appeared running through the area, specifically between Hercegovina Street and Adrià Square. Given the suspect's aggressive behavior, officers established a security perimeter to protect pedestrians and workers in nearby establishments.
During the intervention, which lasted approximately half an hour, citizens were asked to remain inside buildings and commercial premises to avoid risks. Eventually, the police managed to corner the man at the entrance of a parking garage.
To carry out the arrest, officers used a taser to immobilize the individual. According to municipal sources, the operation concluded without any injuries reported during the incident.
