The Nou Congost in Manresa will host the Grand Finals of the Collegiate Cup Catalonia on April 24, where four basketball teams will compete for glory and a spot in the national finals in Granada.

The excitement of Catalan collegiate basketball reaches its peak with the celebration of the Grand Finals of the Collegiate Cup Catalonia. The Nou Congost pavilion in Manresa is preparing to welcome the four best teams, two in the male category and two in the female, who will face each other in a decisive day on April 24. In addition to the sports spectacle, the event will feature an American cheerleading performance by the American School of Barcelona.
The teams that manage to lift the champions' trophy will not only celebrate victory but will also earn the right to represent Catalonia in the national tournament finals to be held in Granada. The competition promises to be intense, as all participants have demonstrated a high level throughout the tournament.
The women's final will open the day at 6:00 PM, with the match between Garbí Pere Vergés and Escola Pia Santa Anna. The Barcelona team, champion of its delegation, will face the winners from the Maresme-Badalona area. Escola Pia Santa Anna arrives with excellent momentum, seeking to make history by becoming the first Catalan school to win the Cup in consecutive years with teams of different genders and the same coach.
Two hours later, at 8:00 PM, it will be the turn of the men's final, which will pit Joanot Martorell against Joviat. Both teams, winners of the Barcelona and Central Catalonia delegations respectively, have been favorites since the beginning of the tournament and have shown stellar performance. Joanot Martorell arrives with less physical wear, after a more direct path to the final, while Joviat has overcome a longer and more challenging journey, including exciting comebacks.
This match will also be a particular duel between two outstanding players who are teammates at CB Cornellà: one of the players from Joanot Martorell and one of the players from Joviat. Both have been chosen as the best players of their respective delegations and will seek to lead their teams to the championship.
Once the Collegiate Cup Catalonia concludes, attention will shift to the Pequecopa, which will be held on May 1 at La Granja Ability Training Center, in Santa Maria de Palautordera. This event offers younger participants (from 3rd to 6th grade of primary school) the opportunity to enjoy the competition in an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect. Registrations are already open, and the participation of several teams has already been confirmed, including Claret, winner of five previous editions.
