The outbreak of a large-scale military conflict in the Middle East has directly impacted Barcelona this Monday, coinciding with the start of the Mobile World Congress and causing numerous cancellations at El Prat Airport.

The extreme tension in the region, with at least 555 deaths reported in Iran by the Red Crescent, has forced airspace closures in hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. This has prevented thousands of attendees from reaching the Catalan capital.
At El Prat Airport, 23 operations were cancelled on Sunday, followed by another fifteen cancellations on Monday morning. The conflict involves US and Israeli forces and has spread to several countries in the region.

"We will not retaliate."
