The Boqueria Market in Barcelona is seeing unprecedented investment interest, with some stall owners receiving buyout offers as high as 3.5 million euros due to the tourism surge.

Located on La Rambla, the market has become a prime target for international investors. Reports from Ser Catalunya indicate that while traditional stalls like greengrocers fetch between 300,000 and 700,000 euros, catering businesses are the most valued assets.

"We are talking about 3.5 million euros for typical bars in this market, or offers of 500,000 for businesses like fruit or meat stalls."

Some large restaurant spaces have reportedly changed hands for up to 5.5 million euros. These private deals often bypass the market's management initially, only becoming official once the Barcelona City Council approves the transfer of ownership.
