Construction to create around 70 free parking spaces next to the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya train tracks in Can Feu, Sabadell, has concluded, fulfilling a historic demand from residents.

The Sabadell City Council has completed the works to generate about seventy free parking spaces next to the tracks of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya in Can Feu. This action responds to a "historic demand" in the neighborhoods of Gràcia, Can Feu, and particularly in the Planetes sector.
Parking was the second-worst rated service by Sabadell residents in the 2024 barometer conducted by the Diputació de Barcelona. The municipal government has intensified its commitment during this term to increase parking spaces in the city. Since 2019, over 350 new spaces have been created, including areas like the slab over the Ronda Oest in Can Llong, Agustina d'Aragó street, and the vicinity of the CAP Sud health center.
The council's projection is to reach 580 new spaces before the end of the term, with projects such as nearly 130 spaces on Ronda Collsalarca and the development of the Eix Macià macro-parking lot, which will remain free.
The new area in Can Feu covers approximately 2,800 square meters, which have been paved and equipped with lighting, new vegetation, and two video surveillance cameras. The total investment amounted to around 300,000 euros.
According to the latest provincial Dibaròmetre from the summer of 2024, parking receives a score of 4.1 out of 10, making it the second-worst rated service, only surpassed by housing access.
