The NGO Open Arms and Barcelona mayoral candidate Gerardo Pisarello are set to join the Rumbo a Cuba mission to deliver essential aid and denounce the United States blockade.

Supported by over 20 social and political organizations, the maritime expedition aims to highlight the humanitarian impact of international sanctions. The fleet will stop at several ports, including Barcelona, Valencia, and Cadiz, before heading to Mexico and Havana.

"The flotilla will carry photovoltaic equipment to power the Intensive Care Unit of the Juan Manuel Márquez Pediatric Hospital in Havana."

The convoy will transport five tons of food and medicine. This announcement comes as Open Arms also prepares its flagship vessel for a solidarity mission to Gaza, scheduled to depart from Barcelona on April 12.
