The Minister of Territori, Sílvia Paneque, made the announcement via the X network, coinciding with the second demonstration in Barcelona against the Rodalies chaos, organized by user platforms. Earlier that day, a protest by the ANC and the Consell de la República had gathered thousands of people in the Catalan capital.
The three recovered lines are regional services in the south and west of the country, connecting Camp de Tarragona and Lleida, where part of the route was previously covered by road transport. The reopening of the R13 (Barcelona–Valls–Lleida) benefits 1,200 passengers, and the R14 (Barcelona–Reus–Lleida) serves 2,400 daily commuters.
“"These reopenings represent an improvement in mobility for about 4,000 people."
In addition to these lines, the RT1, which links Tarragona and the Plana-Picamoixons station, benefits about 450 people. The Minister also reported earlier in the morning on the restoration of the R4 line between L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Martorell following a landslide during the tunneling works in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
