Pope Leo XIV will make a journey along Rosselló street in Barcelona on June 10th aboard the popemobile, prior to his visit to the Sagrada Familia.

The Pontiff will parade along Rosselló street, between Diagonal and Sardenya, around 6:30 PM, on a route open to the public before the ceremony scheduled at the Sagrada Familia at 7:30 PM. This journey, approximately 1,100 meters, will be at "human speed" according to Guàrdia Urbana sources, with security checks by the Mossos d'Esquadra.
The Pope's visit to Barcelona on June 9th and 10th will involve a significant security deployment and mobility restrictions. The Government has announced that 5,600 officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra will be mobilized, joined by 500 agents from the Guardia Urbana, one of the largest operations in the history of Catalonia.
On June 9th, a prayer vigil is planned at the Estadi Lluís Companys, which will turn Montjuïc into a restricted access zone. Residents in areas affected by traffic closures will need to prove their residency. The use of the metro is recommended, as it will increase its service by 23%, and significant disruptions are expected for bus routes.
Mobility impacts in Ciutat Vella will begin on Monday, June 8th, and extend until Thursday, June 11th. Areas such as Sant Jaume and the surroundings of the Palau Episcopal will be closed to private traffic. In the Eixample, the visit to the Sagrada Familia will cause traffic closures and parking bans on numerous streets in the Dreta de l'Eixample on June 10th.
