Around forty protesters gathered this March 2nd outside the Fira de Barcelona venue in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat to voice concerns over the ethical impact of the global technology industry.

The opening day of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) was met with demonstrations at the entrance. Protesters called for structural changes in how such events are organized, aiming to prevent complicity in human rights violations linked to the tech sector.
Groups including Coalició Prou Complicitat amb Israel and Dignité RDC highlighted the extraction of conflict minerals in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan. They argue that the tech industry relies on resources obtained through violent extractivism and colonial practices.
The demonstration specifically targeted Israel, calling for an effective ban on its official pavilions. Activists demanded that companies involved in military or security activities contributing to occupation or armed conflict be excluded from the event.
