Renfe and Adif are continuing their efforts to establish an integrated railway control center in Barcelona, aiming to unify circulation management and Rodalies operations to enhance coordination and information dissemination.

This project seeks to merge the circulation regulation center (CRC) that Adif operates at Estació de França with the operations management center (CGO) for Rodalies, located in El Clot. The goal is to create a single space that facilitates information transfer and joint management of the railway service, although the implementation date and exact location of the new center have not yet been finalized.

"There is room for improvement."

Currently, coordination between the two spaces is carried out by three Rodalies employees, known as transmitters, who are permanently present at Adif's center. These professionals are responsible for ensuring the flow of information to keep users informed about the service status in real-time.
The CRC manages the circulation of the entire railway network in northeastern Catalonia and detects electrical incidents, while the CGO controls scheduled circulations, manages incidents, and provides information to users and internal staff. The creation of a single physical space is seen as a solution to optimize this coordination.
Although a councilor suggested that the center could be operational before summer at Estació de França, sector sources warn that the process will take longer than expected. Nevertheless, it is highlighted that communication with travelers has already improved, partly due to the introduction of communication managers at the front of trains.
