This protest day is the only one the movement will carry out during the current academic year, unlike the three quarterly road closures of last year. The organization openly criticizes the management of the Barcelona City Council, holding it responsible for the stagnation of improvements and the non-compliance with previous agreements.
“"We are deeply outraged by the lack of commitment and word from the City Council; we continue to have no news. It is absolutely inadmissible how they disregard expert recommendations and place children's health and safety below the interests of private vehicles, such as cars and motorcycles."
This marks the sixth edition in which Revolta Escolar has organized simultaneous actions in the streets of Barcelona. Several educational centers have joined the initiative, including the Entença, Miralletes, and Anglesola schools. At Escola 9 Graons, for instance, Roger de Flor street was closed to host games and drawing activities on the pavement.
