The incident occurred around 1:30 AM on Bori i Fontestà street. The assailants used a Seat León to break through the store's metal gate. Once inside, they smashed the glass with fire extinguishers to steal a selection of high-end handbags.
For their escape, they used two other vehicles: a Volkswagen Golf and an Alfa Romeo, which according to sources close to the owner, had been previously stolen in Les Franqueses del Vallès. The car used for the ram-raid was abandoned at the scene and has been recovered by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police).
The owner of the vehicle stolen in Les Franqueses del Vallès reported it missing early in the morning, expressing fear that the car might be burned. The value of the stolen goods is considerable, as this type of merchandise has a quick resale market on the black market or through second-hand platforms.
In addition to the value of the stolen merchandise, the material damage to the establishment is significant, with the exterior gate completely destroyed and the entrance glass shattered. The criminals also moved a garbage container to access the door, leaving it in the middle of the road, posing a risk to traffic.
Local residents have lamented that such incidents are not uncommon in the Turó Park area, which they consider less secure than one might assume. The affected store has been sealed off as authorities continue their investigation.
