Commuters traveling between Tarragona and Barcelona are facing severe daily disruptions and anxiety due to record-breaking delays and ongoing infrastructure works in the Garraf area.

According to data from the user platform Puntual.cat, February was the worst month on record for Renfe lines in the south. The R13 line, connecting Lleida and Barcelona via Valls, averaged delays of 48.8 minutes per train, with 58% of services delayed by more than half an hour.

The situation has forced some workers to sleep in Barcelona during the week to avoid missing connections. Local mayors from Valls and Montblanc have described the service as the worst in the country and have scheduled a meeting for April 8th with Manel Nadal, Secretary of Mobility, to demand urgent improvements.
