Renfe resumed rail services in Catalonia this Monday with speed limitations at nearly 200 points and several sections replaced by buses due to ongoing Adif maintenance works.

The current situation requires trains to operate at reduced speeds while track safety is certified. Transport Secretary José Antonio Santano stated that most restrictions should be lifted by early March, aiming for full normality in April.
Major disruptions continue on the R3 line, which remains closed for works, and the R7, which will not resume service until May. Additionally, the R8 line is currently being served by alternative road transport between Martorell and Granollers.

"The section between Cervera and Calaf has been disabled after drivers found potential faults."
