Numerous regular Rodalies commuters opted for AVE and Avant services at the Camp de Tarragona station this Tuesday morning, seeking reliability amid the recent railway chaos.
Early in the morning, the Camp de Tarragona station saw queues to access the platforms, with high-speed trains accumulating delays of about ten minutes. This situation reflects the growing distrust among users regarding the Rodalies service, which has suffered severe incidents in recent days.
“
"I always used Rodalies, but I don't trust it; there is always one thing or another. Five or ten minutes don't matter to me, but with Rodalies, you don't know if the train will even run."
Travelers like Gabriel Silva described the recent chaos as “a disgrace,” noting that while high-speed trains also face delays, the service is generally more reliable. Users understood the speed reduction implemented due to a detected track rupture near l'Espluga de Francolí (Conca de Barberà), prioritizing safety.
Amidst the widespread discontent, the spokesperson for the Plataforma Dignitat a les Vies, Anna Gómez, announced a public mobilization. The protest is scheduled for February 7 at five in the afternoon in Barcelona, starting from Estació de França and marching to Plaça Sant Jaume, to defend public rail services.

"They must reflect on how they will assist us from now on and how information should move on the platforms, both for high speed and outside, and regarding investment, see where and how they are investing."
