The fifth edition of the 'De Roquetes Vi, i Punyetes Baixo' fair will take place on Saturday, September 12th, at Hort de Cruells, offering a combination of local gastronomy, regional wines, and musical performances.

The event, organized by the Roquetes City Council with support from the Tarragona Provincial Council's Tourism Board, will commence at 7:00 PM. It will feature a gastronomic area where 8 local establishments (La Parada de la Fira, Supersà, La Cassola de Roquetes, Bar Nita, Curs de cuina Ravaleros, Pastisseria Noa, La Mar Pastisseria, and Alfajores Renú) will offer tapas made with local products. These dishes can be paired with wines, sparkling wines, and vermouths from 5 wineries of the DO Terra Alta, plus a new addition: 1 craft beer brewery. A ticket for 4 wine tastings or 3 tastings and a glass will cost 10 euros.
The fair will also include a bar service with sandwiches and drinks, managed by the Roquetes and Raval de Cristo Grouped Commerce (CAR). The musical program will span over 6 hours, featuring performances by Laura Garí Trio (jazz), Walking Bounce Swing (swing, jazz, and blues), and Albino Tena i Los Perfectes Secundaris (original songs and covers). The highlight will be the free concert by Band The Cool at 11:59 PM, a group known for their covers and energetic stage presence, returning for the third consecutive year.
The mayor of Roquetes, Ivan Garcia, emphasized the fair's significance as one of the "most anticipated and special" events in the municipality's summer calendar, highlighting support for the local wine sector amidst "unfair grape prices." He recalled the council's motion to support farmers. Garcia also noted the event's economic impact, estimated at over 80,000 euros per edition, and thanked the participating restaurateurs and pastry chefs.
The Councilor for Communication, Citizen Participation, and Transparency, Jordi Allepuz, mentioned that the opening of a new parking area on Carrer del Pare Alberca, adjacent to Hort de Cruells, will help manage visitor flow. The event will also include a raffle for a case of 24 bottles of wine among attendees.
