The Sagrada Família basilica in Barcelona closed 2025 with a new record of 4,877,567 visitors, marking a 1% increase compared to the previous year.

This growth is primarily attributed to Chinese tourism, which surged by 60.75%. Chinese visitors now account for 7.20% of the total, following United States tourists (15%) and Spanish nationals (10.82%).

"If interest grows with the Pope's visit, we will study the possibility of extending visiting hours into the night."
