President Salvador Illa returned to the Palau de la Generalitat this Monday, marking the end of a month-long medical leave following a serious bacterial infection.

The President was admitted to Vall d'Hebron Hospital on January 17th suffering from pubic osteomyelitis. After a period of recovery, Illa expressed his gratitude to the public health system and confirmed he will gradually resume his full schedule under medical supervision.

His first official act involved signing a protocol with the Tarraconense Episcopal Conference. This four-year collaboration aims to identify Church properties that can be repurposed into social housing without changing their ownership status.
Illa returns to a demanding political landscape, including pending budget negotiations and criticism from opposition parties regarding recent infrastructure challenges in Catalonia.
