Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez addressed the Congress of Deputies this Wednesday to justify the ongoing issues in Catalonia's Rodalies rail service, citing weather and PP's legacy.

After three weeks of silence, Pedro Sánchez took five hours to mention the Catalan rail situation during his appearance. The head of the Executive defended that Spain possesses one of the best railway systems globally, despite acknowledging historical investment gaps.

"We are on the right track, we have a long way to go, but the resources and direction are correct."

Sánchez highlighted that his administration has mobilized 6 billion euros for the 2020-2030 plan, with 4.2 billion already awarded. He contrasted this with the 10% execution rate by the People's Party between 2008 and 2015.
