The Sants station in Barcelona began recovering its usual flow of Rodalies passengers on Friday, January 23, reversing the emptiness caused by the rail chaos of the previous week.

After several days with the station half-empty, the influx of travelers at Sants increased significantly during the afternoon, as the Rodalies service gradually restored normality. Nevertheless, uncertainty persists among users, such as Mireia, who was waiting for her delayed train heading to Reus.

"Given how things are, it's hard to trust it a little"

The service recovery began after the Government, Renfe, Adif, and the train drivers reached an eleventh-hour agreement on Thursday afternoon. Following the safety checks carried out overnight, the service was restored, although some lines still experienced delays averaging up to 30 minutes.
Simultaneously, the Sants station became a focal point of remembrance. Train drivers organized a floral offering with roses and candles to remember Fernando, the trainee colleague who died in Gelida due to a retaining wall collapsing onto an R4 train.
