A cold air mass at altitude will cause clouds and the formation of storms from midday in the central coast and pre-littoral.

The weather forecast for Thursday predicts an afternoon with showers and thunderstorms in many parts of the coast and, especially, the central Catalan pre-littoral. In Barcelona, the early morning will be torrid with minimum temperatures of 25 to 27 degrees inland, and the sky will be clear early with moderate heat.
From midday, clouds will begin to appear towards the pre-littoral. The afternoon is expected to be busy, with a risk of locally intense storms, accompanied by hail in some areas, particularly between 6 PM and 8 PM. Showers will subsequently affect the Maresme and Barcelonès regions, although with less intensity than in the Vallès plain.
After the rain, a temperature drop is expected late in the day. The heat will intensify again from Sunday, following a Friday of moderate heat and a Saturday with some scattered showers around Montseny.
