The organization of the traditional Passada de Sant Antoni Abat in Sabadell has decided to suspend the 2026 edition due to strong rain forecasts, a measure almost unprecedented in its history.

The decision to cancel the Passada is considered “extraordinary,” as it had not been taken in the last 160 years of the festival's history, excluding the years affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the current weather prediction, the safety of participants, animals, or attendees cannot be guaranteed.

For this reason, the popular blessing of the animals traditionally held in Plaça Taulí is also suspended, as it depends on the realization of the Passada.
Despite the main parade's suspension, the Colla Nova maintains some events if the weather permits, such as the distribution of 'coca' at the Sabadell Cultura headquarters on Friday at 9 AM, mass at the Puríssima church at 11 AM, or the vermouth at Casinet at 12:30 PM.
For its part, the Colla Vella also maintains its liturgical and social events, including mass at Sant Fèlix at 11:30 AM and the subsequent vermouth to be held at the Hotel Urpí, starting at 1 PM.
