The event, which this year is held in Plaça Catalunya due to works on La Rambla, features the participation of 30 restaurants and 6 prominent pastry shops from the city. Attendees can taste culinary creations from establishments awarded Michelin stars, such as Enoteca and Cinc Sentits (with two stars), Atempo (one star), as well as other recognized names like Barcelona, Dos Pebrots, Nectari, Gaig, Tapas 24, Casa Amàlia, Familia Nuri, Leña, and Virens. In the sweet section, proposals from Escribà, L'Atelier Barcelona, Takashi Ochiai, Sauleda, and Mervier Canal stand out.
In addition to tastings, Tast a la Rambla offers an extensive program of parallel activities. There will be 'showcookings' by chefs from restaurants such as Disfrutar, MontBar, Cinc Sentits, Dos Palillos, and Estimar, guided tastings, live cooking, and immersive experiences. One of the highlights is a virtual reality experience powered by Balfegó to bring the world of red tuna closer to the public. All this, accompanied by live music.
This year, the fair also features the presence of three invited territories contributing their culinary identity: Saborea Lanzarote with workshops on volcanic cuisine and island wines; Raíz Culinaria-Castilla La Mancha, presenting representative recipes from its five provinces; and Andorra, with its 'Alta Muntanya Gastronomy', showcasing the uniqueness of its local products.
During the event, the Tast a la Rambla Award will be presented to Ramon Agenjo, a director at Estrella Damm, in recognition of his contribution to enriching Barcelona's gastronomic culture.
