The USTEC union has launched a bus service from the Girona regions to facilitate attendance at the teachers' demonstration taking place this Tuesday in Barcelona.

The protest, called in defense of public education and the working conditions of the teaching staff, is expected to have a significant impact on mobility in the Catalan capital. The coincidence with the visit of Lleó XIV has led to a call for massive participation by the teaching community, which seeks to make its demands visible on a day marked by traffic restrictions.
The buses will depart from key points such as Olot, Figueres, Girona, Palafrugell, and Lloret de Mar. While union members will be able to use the transport for free, other participants will have to pay between 10 and 15 euros, depending on the town of origin, after registering via an official form.
Given the forecast of traffic complications, the Generalitat has rectified its initial position and has recommended that citizens in the Barcelona area opt for teleworking on Tuesday and Wednesday to ease the pressure on the road and public transport network.
