The Catalan Government and the Ministry of Transport started a new follow-up meeting in Barcelona on Saturday afternoon to assess the status of the Rodalies commuter rail service, which remains entirely suspended.

The gathering, which started after 6:00 PM on Saturday, is the third meeting called during the day to monitor the ongoing rail crisis. The Rodalies service has been suspended since 1:00 PM the same day, following an explicit request from the Catalan Government.
The meeting at the Department of Territory is headed by the Minister of the Presidency, Albert Dalmau, and the Minister of Territory and Government Spokesperson, Sílvia Paneque. Representing the Spanish government is the Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano, who attended in person after participating remotely in previous sessions and arriving in Barcelona that afternoon.
In addition to political representatives, senior officials from Adif, Renfe, the Mossos d'Esquadra police force, and Trànsit (Traffic) are also participating, aiming to coordinate the response to the service interruption and ensure system safety and operability.
