Thousands of teachers began a unified march toward the Catalan Parliament this Friday, causing significant traffic disruptions at the main entrances to Barcelona following five days of strikes.

Protest columns organized by unions including USTEC, Aspec, CGT, and Intersindical set off from strategic locations such as Meridiana, Diagonal, and Gran Via. They plan to meet at Tetuan Square before heading to the legislative building.
Early morning pickets blocked key routes such as the Ronda de Dalt at Vall d'Hebron and the Trinitat junction. Beyond the capital, traffic was also affected on the AP-7 in Badia and the A-2 in Abrera, highlighting widespread professional discontent.
The Ministry of Education reported a 15.28% turnout based on preliminary data, while unions estimated participation at around 65%. Teachers are protesting against a lack of resources and the recent agreement between the Government and the UGT and CCOO unions.
