The prominent activist and founder of Élite Taxi, Tito Álvarez, has announced his permanent relocation to Margarita Island, Venezuela, where he has purchased a home and plans to marry this summer.

Álvarez's decision follows a difficult period in Barcelona, where he faced eviction. He explained to Catalunya Ràdio that his debt was sold to a vulture fund, prompting him to seek a fresh start abroad. He has acquired a 100-square-meter apartment for 8,000 dollars.

"I won't leave Élite or the taxi because for me it's like a son, and you don't abandon a son."
