The professional, with a notable career in media such as Catalunya Ràdio and betevé, expressed her opinions in a recent program. Having lived in various neighborhoods of the Catalan capital, from Barceloneta to Vilapicina, the screenwriter offers a personal perspective on the city's evolution.
“"Expats are parasites. They come here because it's a cheap city, which allows them to telework and pay insignificant rent that costs us a lifetime to pay."
Regarding tourism, the screenwriter believes that Barcelona no longer needs promotion. She argues that the city is saturated and that efforts should be redirected to other locations. Furthermore, she has expressed deep concern about the vitality of Catalan, especially in the capital.
“"Catalan is in the ICU. Horta, where I live, might be a stronghold where you still hear Catalan spoken, but whenever I take public transport, I see that this is getting complicated."
Despite her criticisms, the collaborator values the quality of life in Barcelona, highlighting its cultural and gastronomic offerings. Although she has lived in different areas, the Farró neighborhood made her feel most comfortable, even though she currently resides in Vilapicina.
