The night from Friday to Saturday was marked by two serious incidents in Badalona, with attacks on officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Urbana, and an arrest for knife assault.

A stolen vehicle was used by a gang of "teloneros" (thieves specializing in truck cargo theft) to ram a plainclothes patrol of the Mossos d'Esquadra in Badalona. The car's occupants ignored police instructions and accelerated towards the officers' vehicle, who had to respond with gunfire in self-defense. After a brief chase, three of the assailants fled on foot, while a fourth was arrested by the Guardia Urbana. The stolen vehicle was recovered, and the Mossos have opened an investigation to locate the fugitives.
In another incident, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 34-year-old man for a knife assault during a fight. The detainee, who has 29 prior police records, allegedly injured another person in the early hours of Friday to Saturday.
The mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, also reported that two individuals ran over a Guardia Urbana officer during a police checkpoint on Friday. Both individuals were arrested and, according to the mayor, also had several prior records.
