The Valls City Council has announced an investment plan of 13.26 million euros, with a significant portion dedicated to the revitalization of the historic center and the improvement of key facilities for the city.

The Valls City Council has presented an ambitious investment program totaling 13.26 million euros, funded by the 2025 and 2026 budgets. This figure represents one of the highest investment volumes in recent years and places a special emphasis on the transformation of the Historic Center, which will receive nearly 8 million euros for its heritage recovery and urban regeneration.
The plan includes both ongoing projects and new initiatives. The recovery of the old town is a priority, with notable interventions at Ca Padró and the restoration of the wall system, including works in the Sant Francesc sector and soon in the Hort del Rector. Funds are also allocated to Urban Improvement Plan 23 in the Plaça de l'Oli to regenerate degraded buildings and to the restoration of the church of Sant Francesc, in addition to subsidies for housing rehabilitation. A new development includes the planned acquisition of a property adjacent to the Espai Jove to expand its facilities.
Sports facilities will receive 1.4 million euros. The most significant investment will be the adaptation of the Vilar pitch for hockey (723,000 euros) and the renovation of the football stadium's turf at the same location (433,000 euros). Additionally, the fitness room at the Xavi Tondo pavilion in the Municipal Sports Center El Fornàs will be improved (170,000 euros).
Regarding public spaces, 435,000 euros will be allocated to street improvements, such as on Passeig Tarradellas, 239,000 euros to squares and children's play areas, and 39,000 euros to outdoor health parks. The maintenance of rural paths will receive 152,000 euros.
The industrial estate will also benefit from 464,000 euros, including lighting renovation (135,000 euros) and asphalt work on Carrer Moixiganga (330,000 euros). These initiatives bring the total investment in the estate's lighting modernization to over 1.5 million euros.
Looking ahead, 225,000 euros will be dedicated to urban planning to modify the POUM (Master Plan) and enable strategic projects such as the future Parc Sanitari (including the new Pius Hospital and a CAP health center) and the environmental recovery of ravines.
Finally, new facilities for security and citizen services are planned. 120,000 euros are allocated to the new Local Police headquarters, and 105,000 euros to adapt the former fire station as a base for the Medical Emergency Service (SEM). A further 20,000 euros are reserved for the future municipal Social Rights headquarters, transforming the current bus station into a modern facility for various social services.
