Several neighborhood organizations from districts like Nou Barris and Sant Andreu, along with the Favb, have submitted allegations regarding the Meridiana avenue reform project. They request that the works be carried out more quickly, citing reasons of "historical reparation and health," and call for a significant reinforcement of public transport during and after the construction.
The commission for the Meridiana reform, under which about ten entities have grouped, considers the works to be a "historic opportunity." Therefore, they have requested an "urgent" meeting with the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, to directly present their proposals and allegations.
According to the residents' proposal, the reform should transform Meridiana into a "boulevard" from Fabra i Puig to Passeig de Santa Coloma. This action, they argue, would give a "more transversal soul" to the avenue, facilitating connection and unity between the neighborhoods of Nou Barris and Sant Andreu, similar to the approach taken in other city areas like the reform of Glòries in El Clot.
