Vilapicina and Torre Llobeta Celebrate October Festivities

The Nou Barris neighborhood will host a variety of cultural activities, workshops, and shows for all ages from October 3rd to 12th.

The Vilapicina and Torre Llobeta neighborhood, in the Nou Barris district, is celebrating its Festivities from October 3rd to 12th with a diverse program of cultural and recreational activities.

The Vilapicina neighborhood, in the Nou Barris district, is preparing to celebrate its Festivities from October 3rd to 12th. The event will feature a wide variety of activities designed to liven up the neighborhood for several days, including children's workshops and shows, a traditional Catalan song performance (havaneres), Catalan dances, popular meals, concerts, and dances.
Activities will primarily take place in the neighborhood's streets and squares. The provisional program for 2025 includes events such as a festive mass and a gospel choir performance on Friday, October 3rd, at the Parròquia de Santa Eulàlia de Vilapicina. Saturday, October 4th, will kick off with a neighborhood bike ride, a parade, and a popular mini-hamburger event at the Jardins de Can Xiringoi, followed by a dance-theater performance at the Centre cívic Torre Llobeta.
The celebration will continue on Sunday, October 5th, with a neighborhood walk along Petrarca street at the corner of Duero street. On Monday, October 6th, there will be a performance by the Coral Simfònica Vozes at the Parròquia de Santa Eulàlia de Vilapicina. The following week, on Thursday, October 9th, Plaça de Garrigó will host a children's afternoon with hot chocolate, a puppet workshop, and a display of vehicles from the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police), while the Casal Canela en Rama will offer a theater performance.
On Friday, October 10th, Plaça de Santa Eulàlia will be the venue for another children's afternoon with a healthy snack, and the 'Penja’rt' project will be inaugurated. Music will take center stage at the Jardins de Can Xiringoi with performances by Heko Rapsolo, A buenas horas, Tribut a Pink Floyd, and D.P.T Cover Rock.
The final weekend of the festivities will include a jotas dance show, a popular paella, and music for the whole family at the Jardins de Can Xiringoi. On Saturday, October 11th, there will also be a 'correfoc' (fire run) by Bruixes i Bruixots de Trinitat Nova in Plaça d’Álvaro Cunqueiro. On Sunday, October 12th, the celebration will conclude with hot chocolate and children's workshops in Plaça de la Torre Llobeta, a popular sausage feast, and havaneres.
