Vueling airline has inaugurated a new international connection from Barcelona Airport to the city of Nador, Morocco, while Cathay Pacific has resumed its seasonal flights to Hong Kong.

The Catalan airline Vueling has launched a new route linking Barcelona with Nador, in northeastern Morocco. Initially, this connection will operate with two weekly frequencies, on Wednesdays and Fridays, which will increase to four from summer, including Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The inaugural flight took place on March 28.
This new route strengthens Vueling's presence in Morocco from the Catalan capital, adding to existing connections with Agadir, Essaouira, Marrakech, and Tangier. From June, the city of Fez will also be incorporated into the airline's network of Moroccan destinations.

The Barcelona-Hong Kong route began operating last Monday and will be active until October 24, with a total of four weekly frequencies, Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and joins the four weekly round trips it operates from Madrid.

In parallel, Cathay Pacific, a premium segment airline based in Hong Kong, has resumed its seasonal summer flights between Barcelona and the Asian city. This route, which began operations last Monday, will remain active until October 24 with four weekly frequencies (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays), complementing the four weekly flights it already offers from Madrid.
The Asian company has highlighted that this direct connection not only links Barcelona with Hong Kong but also acts as a 'gateway' to the Asian continent, facilitating access to its extensive network of destinations from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
