The Catalan Pyrenees are established as a key destination during the Christmas holidays, offering a setting of snow, calm, and tradition. Ski resorts, such as Vall de Núria, complement the sports offering with cultural and leisure activities for all ages, making the area an ideal place for families.

The program begins on Friday, December 20, with two prominent events. At 4:00 PM, the free 'Gran cagada del tió' (Tió log ceremony) will take place in front of the Núria Sanctuary, with hot chocolate provided for all participants. Later, at 7:00 PM, the Basilica will host a free Candlelight concert featuring Pep Poblet and Joan Garrobé.

On December 23, children can participate in the 'Taller de tions' (4:00 PM), where they will search for small wooden logs transformed into 'tions' to make wishes. On December 27, an introductory snowshoe excursion is organized through the Mirador del Llac (4:15 PM to 5:45 PM), a new panoramic mountain observatory.

On the evening of December 27, the Montsec Astronomical Park offers a free nocturnal observation at the station (7:00 PM) to view constellations and planets using telescopes. To close the year, on December 31, the Hotel Vall de Núria organizes a gala dinner with fireworks and a party, which includes two nights' accommodation and the rack railway ticket.
