Officers from the Citizen Security Unit of the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat police station acted during the early hours of April 7, as part of a preventive patrol. They observed a vehicle driving at high speed and initiated a discreet follow-up, suspecting the driver might be underage.
The vehicle was eventually stopped in a secure area of the Bellvitge neighborhood. During the identification of the occupants, officers confirmed that the driver was a minor and did not possess any driving license.
Upon inspecting the vehicle's interior, the Mossos located a press with hashish residue in the trunk, as well as various materials presumably intended for drug packaging and distribution, including a precision scale. Fragmented cash, balaclavas, and documentation belonging to third parties not present at the scene were also seized.
In total, 78 grams of a substance presumed to be hashish were confiscated. Officers noted that the other occupants of the vehicle were aware that the driver did not have a valid driving license.
With all the evidence gathered, the four occupants—three men aged 19 and 20, a 23-year-old woman, and the minor—were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a public health offense in the form of drug trafficking. Additionally, the minor driver was also arrested for driving without ever having obtained a license.
The arrested minor was placed at the disposal of the public prosecutor's office, while the adult detainees, who had no prior records, were brought before the duty investigating court in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
