A man was seriously injured by smoke inhalation during a fire that broke out early Saturday morning in a ground-floor apartment on Rafael Campalans street in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The incident took place at 02:37 AM on Saturday, when an alert was received about a fire in a building located at number 130 on Rafael Campalans street, in the Torrassa neighborhood. The flames originated in a room on the ground floor of the property.
Four units from the Bombers de la Generalitat quickly responded to the scene. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and rescued the affected man.
After being rescued, the man was evacuated to Hospital Moisès Broggi, where he was admitted in serious condition due to smoke inhalation, as reported by the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) and the Bombers de la Generalitat.
