V5 Bus Line Extends Route to Marina del Prat Vermell

The route extension adds eight new stops to the Zona Franca neighborhood, enhancing public transport connectivity.

The V5 bus line operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) has extended its route by two kilometers, incorporating eight new stops in the Marina del Prat Vermell neighborhood in Zona Franca as of this Monday.

This route extension aims to improve public transport connectivity in an area experiencing significant growth and transformation. The beginning and end of the route are now located at the junction of Motors and Acer streets.

According to data provided by TMB, the V5 line is used by nearly 2.8 million people annually. It records an average of 9,000 validations on weekdays, 3,500 on Saturdays, and 2,700 on holidays, highlighting its importance for urban mobility.
However, the extension of the line entails the cancellation of three existing stops. Users should note that stops 2495 (Mare de Déu de Port street) and 3517 (Cisell street) in the sea direction, as well as stop 3546 (Zona Franca-Sant Eloi promenade) in the mountain direction, are no longer operational from now on.
