The Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia set a new visitor record in 2025, exceeding 4.8 million, while completing the Jesus Tower, reaching its maximum height and becoming the world's tallest church.

Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece, the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia, closed 2025 with a historic figure of 4,877,567 visitors, surpassing the previous record from 2024 by 0.91%. This success translated into revenues of 135.5 million euros, entirely from private funding, of which 51% was directly allocated to the temple's construction works.
This exceptional year coincides with the commemoration of the centenary of architect Antoni Gaudí's death and a significant construction milestone: the completion of the last piece of the Jesus Tower in 2026. With this culmination, the temple reaches its maximum height of 172.5 meters, surpassing Ulm Minster in Germany and becoming the tallest church in the world.
The magnetism of the Sagrada Familia continues to attract tourists from all over the world. During 2025, a notable increase in Chinese visitors was observed, now representing 7.20% of the total, with a 60.75% increase compared to the previous year. Despite this growth, American tourists remain the primary nationality, accounting for 15.07% of the total. They are followed by Italians (6.92%), French (6.91%), South Koreans (4.93%), British (4.52%), and Germans (4.10%). Spanish visitors represent 10.82%, while the rest of Europe contributes 15.67%, and the rest of the world 23.86%.

"This natural evolution is consistent with the Sagrada Familia's construction phase and the historical moment of commemorating the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death."

This February, the culmination of the ensemble's verticality with the completion of the exterior of the Jesus Christ Tower marks a turning point. Additionally, the Assumption Chapel has reached 8 meters in height out of the planned 30, and the restoration of the Matthias Tower is underway. The delegate president of the Sagrada Familia Construction Board, Esteve Camps, also announced a logo update for the temple to reflect its current reality.
