The campaign “My Pharmacy, My Health. All Against Stroke”, promoted by the College of Pharmacists of Barcelona (COFB), the pharmaceutical company Sandoz, and the Ictus Foundation, with the collaboration of OMRON and the support of the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council, aims to raise public awareness about stroke risk factors.
For two days, a mobile unit will be set up in the square to offer free health services, personalized advice, and information. The initiative involves professionals from primary care centers and the Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol (Can Ruti).
The mobile unit will feature 5 health stations where volunteer pharmacists will conduct blood pressure measurements, weight and body composition checks, cholesterol and blood glucose tests, and cardiovascular risk assessments. Participants can also learn to use the “La Meva Farmàcia” app.
It is an opportunity to better understand your health status and receive professional guidance to adopt habits that help reduce the risk of suffering a stroke.
The activity is free and open to everyone, taking place on October 19 and 20, from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 4 PM to 6:30 PM in the Plaça de la Vila.
