On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, celebrated on October 10th, the Mental Health Table of Sant Adrià de Besòs is organizing the activity 'Weaving Connections'. This initiative focuses on the importance of social relationships and connections for emotional well-being and mental health.
The activity will take place on Friday, October 9th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the municipal market of Sant Adrià de Besòs. During the session, participants will reflect on the relevance of connections for mental health and will be able to take home a complimentary bracelet.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Mental Health Table of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Projectes Accés and SITUAT del Consorci de la Mina, Centre Fòrum de Parc de Salut Mar, Salut Mental Barcelonès Nord, and the Servei Prelaboral Bètula de BDN Capac.
This year's slogan, 'Weaving connections is making mental health', emphasizes the benefits of maintaining meaningful relationships. These connections help reduce loneliness, strengthen self-esteem, confidence, a sense of belonging, and overall emotional well-being.
The campaign also reminds us that active listening, dedicating time to conversations, offering and accepting help, participating in community activities, and staying in touch with important people are key ways to nurture connections and, consequently, mental health.
